Dear Ms Ina,
Re: Ms Anna Dijana, aged 42
Ms Anna Dijana, who is recuperating from compartment syndrome, requires further care and evaluation following her discharge today.
On 15 July 2018, she was admitted with right knee pain and difficulty bearing weight in the leg due to a fall from stairs. Two incisional fasciotomies were performed. External fixation was done post - fracture stabilization. In addition, analgesics were prescribed and wound was monitored for symptoms of infection. Currently, an excellent healing progress of the wound has been noted.
Ms Dijana, a school teacher lives with her husband and two children. Significant medical history of seizures has been reported for which she takes carbamazepine.
Based on the aforementioned circumstances, education regarding indicators of wound infection and expected soakge has been provided. Blankets and clothing needs to be kept away from the surgical site, and proper resting of the leg would be imperative. Visitors needs to be warned about risk of cross infection.
In case additional information is required, please do not hesitate to contact me
Yours sincerely,
