Re: Mr Gerald Baker, aged 79
Mr Gerald Baker, who has been recuperating from a left total hip replacement requires continuing care back at your facility following the discharge today.
Aspirin 100 mg daily morning was recommended postoperatively. In addition to the regular treatment for hypertension panadeine forte was also prescribed. Range of motion, stretching and strengthening exercises were started and occupational therapy was also Started.
Post-operatively disorientation was noticed Positively related to anesthetic effects. Three units of packed red blood cells were transfused for decreased haemoglobin level. Maintained good mobility,walk through the ward with the use of a wheel chair.
Proper medication complaince, continuing exercises to prevent skin integrity recommended wheelie-walker and wedge pillow are arranged for further use. Staples removal is scheduled on 21st September 2018 with follow-up tests like FBE and UEC.
