Dear Ms Smith,
Mrs Evelyn Brown, who has been recuperating after administration of viscosupplemention in the right knee, requires ongoing care and appropriate management from your facility.
On 21st January 2018, she presented with severe pain in the right knee, also mentioned painful ambulation. In addition, she has been using a four lev walking stick. On observation, after oost procedure bruising and fluid accumlation in the right knee was noticed along with pain score was 6/10. Therefore,the pain has been effectively managed with tramodel every 6 hourly.
On 23rd January 2018, bruising and fluid were reduced while reviewing and planned for discharge. Additionally,a walking stick has been advised to the continued. Anoid loading on patelka-femoral joint such as squattunf and climbing stairs is not recommended, raised toilet seat could be extremely beneficial from preventing further complications. Range of motion exercises needs to be encouraged along with a physiotherapist review in every 2 weeks would be exential. Please ensure to add water aerobics and isokinetic exercises for improving strength. In addition, acetaminophen 35mg thrice daily is prescribed qnd also for tramadol 50mg every six hourly needs to be admitted if required.
Based on the aforementioned circumstances, educate regarding weight loss for ease loading on the knees to maintain target weight 77kgs. She has been scheduled for an appointments with General practitioner in one month. Please note that she has been scheduled for follow up injections on 28th January and 4th February 2018.
