Re: Mr Lionel Ramamurthy, aged 63
Mr Lionel Ramamurthy, who has been diagnosed with pneumonia and recuperating well from his condition thus, he requires continued care and appropriate management following the discharge tomorrow.
Mr Ramamurthy, was presented with the complaints of shortness of breath, wheezing, generalized ache, fever, rigors, chest pain and abdomen pain due to persistent cough,sleeplessness.He ambulates by own with the help of pickup frame; however, assistance needed in daily living activities. In addition,he was noted with weight loss approximately 4 kg within 6 month following the consumption of poor diet.
During hospitalization,he attained excellent recovery along with that has been able to move and do daily chores. Nevertheless,he has mild chest and abdominal pain due to dry cough.
Mr Ramamurthy, who works as a retired school teacher and lives alone. He has had type 2 diabetes and chronic pulmonary disease since 2018.
Supervision will be needed including hydration and proper nutrition. Besides, instruct to do exercise program particularly deep breathing and coughing exercise in order to prevent further complications. It is essential to keep him sitting question to ensure the postal drainage.To relieve chest or abdominal pain administer paracetamol as required. Provide a warm environment.It is beneficial, if you arrange eye check up to improve his eyesight.
