Dear Ms Ina

Re: Ms Anna Dijana, aged 42

Ms Dijana, who has been recuperating from right proximal tibial fracture and compartment syndrome, requires follow-up care and appropriate management followed by her discharge today.

On 15 July 2018, Ms Dijana admitted with a history of fall, and underwent surgery external fixation and fasciotomies for the right leg. Pain medications were commenced on for her. The wound and drainage have been assessed for the signs of infection. Currently, wound is red in colour and free of discharge.

Ms Dijana lives with her family. She is a school teacher. She has had seizures, for which she is on medication carbamazepine.

Kindly teach Ms Dijana and her family members about the signs and symptoms of infection and to notify the nurse immediately if any changes noticed. Educate her for the importance of keeping the area sterile by keeping blankets and clothing out of reach of the wound and also resting the extremities along with other body parts. Please teach the chances of expected drainage.

If any additional information is required, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Yours sincerely,

Registered Nurse
